Introducing
Parry:Matthews
Parry:Matthews pull you
head first in to a wave of dynamic intensity on a
knuckle ride through the library.
Imagine the blistering pop brilliance of
early Bloop combined with the
lyrical whimsy and heroic
sentiment of Willo Wilson in
his guise of St.Germain & The Small Widows and
you're only beginning to get the picture.
This is the sound of something.
If there are five bands you'll wished you
hadn't missed this year, next year, Parry:Matthews
will be one of them.
Singer/Songwriters Anna Parry and Simon Matthews
first met at City of Bath College in 1998 where they
started writing and performing together.
They
have made festival appearances sharing the bill with
the likes of Toploader, Van Morrison, Fun Lovin'
Criminals and The Pretenders.
The
music is classic, timeless pop featuring traditional
and modern sounds like electric & acoustic guitars,
samples, loops, harmonies, real drummers, strings
and all sorts of weird, wonderful but beautiful and
melodic sounds.
Simon
Matthews is also a producer in his own right and has
worked with James
Ray (Producing the critically acclaimed "Longfolk"),
Savanna, Sirius B,
Red Light Go, KUTE and The Box.
